Toddlerhood

Let me just say, I love Hadley being a toddler. I don't want to jinx anything, but I think she may have grown out of her crankiness...for awhile anyway.

She is so sweet, loving and happy for the most part. The only time she is really fussy is when she is tired or her teeth are bothering her. She loves giving hugs and kisses and cuddling with me while I read her a book or play with a toy. She brings a book or toy to me and scoots her butt against me trying to get me to open my legs so she can lay in between them and rest her leg on my thigh. She is seriously so precious.

 I am still on "vacation" and dread going home because it never gets easier. I hate taking Hadley away from her family that she never gets to see. They love her so much and have so much fun with her. I feel like I am depriving her from social skills since she is always only surrounded by Adam and I. She was so scared of everybody when we first got here, but started to warm up real fast and now she loves her family. It seriously breaks my heart to live so far away from everybody that I love. But, Adam is seriously wanting to get out of the Army if he can find a job where he can make the same or more amount that he is now, and let's be honest, that isn't easy in this economy. Long time no see..

Man, it's hard to find time to blog when you are on vacation. The funny this is, that I'm not really even doing anything. A lot has happened since I updated last. My baby turned into a 1 year old toddler. We went to the aquarium for her birthday, and she could have cared less about the fish. 

Her birthday was the 14th, but we had her party on the 17th. It was a pretty big hit. I think there were like 35 people here. Way more than I thought would be here. She slept for the first hour, but that turned out to be ok because everybody was watching the UT game and we just went ahead and ate. 

I have tons more pictures, but that would totally overload my blog. We will still be in Tennessee until October 3rd and mom's vacation has ended so Hadley and I pretty much just chill around the house by ourselves. She is cutting her 5th tooth so she is very cranky and whiny. Teething is one of the worst things in the world! I won't get to take Hadley is her 12 month check up until she is actually 13 months which bothers me, but I guess it will be ok. I am so curious as to how much she weighs. She is getting so heavy to carry around!

Blogging from the road!

I thought I would post a little update since I am stuck in a car for 8ish hours.

We are leaving South Carolina on our way to Tennessee. Our beach vacation is over, but that's ok because our 3 week vacation with my family starts! I am so very excited to see my mom that tears come to my eyes just thinking about it.

We had a pretty good time at the beach. Hadley wasn't crazy about kid ocean, but she loved to eat sand and tried to eat seashells. I am actually glad to be done with the sand. The kid had sand in every crevice, every day.

Tomorrow morning at 4:00 a.m. I will be waking up to get ready to head to the airport to fly to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina! I am getting very anxious and very excited! I DREAD the plane ride because Hadley and I both aren't that fond of flying. I will be waking her up 3 hours before her normal time and I just pray that she goes back to sleep on the plane and sleeps for that 3 hour flight. Then, we will have an hour layover in Atlanta, and then another hour flight to Myrtle Beach. I hope it goes by fast with little stress. Yeah right.

I will try to post pictures from my phone, as I won't have my computer to blog. After we are at the beach for a week I will be at my mom's for 3 weeks and I am SO excited for that! Hadley's birthday and her party will be coming up, so there is a lot of excitement going on this month. Wish me luck guys!

Oh hello there!

Well I haven't updated in like a week. I totally forget about this blog sometimes. I'm sure there will be very few posts to come since I am going to be on vacation for a month! We are leaving for the beach Saturday and then we will be in Tennessee for 3 weeks after that. Adam has to fly back September 19th, but I decided to stay till October 2nd because Adam will be gone anyways and it will be Hadley's, mine, and my mom's birthday. My sister has decided to throw my mom a surprise 50th birthday party and I couldn't live with myself if I wasn't there for it! 

Anyways, Hadley is driving me crazy lately with her constant crying/whining. I really don't know what is going on with her. She has been teething, but those 2 top teeth have came through so I don't know why she is still so cranky. I hope she snaps out of it before we head home this weekend. I am already stressing out about how she will act being completely off schedule.

I can't believe that she is completely walking now. Like, it totally blows my mind. She doesn't even want to crawl anymore. It is crazy! She has learned that she can go in her room and grab her blanket out of the crib slats and she will carry it all around the house. She also does this with her daddy's shirts if she finds them. She is into everything and has been for months now! 

I feel so stupid because everyone told me that I needed completely soft soled shoes for Hadley and she can't walk in them because they have no sole whatsoever. How is she supposed to walk on completely smooth leather? So, I have wasted like 30 dollars on 2 new pairs of shoes that she can't even wear. As soon as she hits the kitchen floor she slides and falls. That is not safe. So now I am on a new mission to find a decent priced shoe that will fit her small, narrow feet!

Big girl tub.

We finally made the switch to the big girl tub. We bought a bath mat last week and it was a complete fail. It didn't suction to the bottom at.all. Pissed me off. I filled the tub up and it just floated to the top, so I decided I would stick with Mr.Duckie. (the duck tub) 

Well, 2 days later I noticed Mr. Duckie was no longer with us anymore. He suffered an injury to the beak and wilted away. So I had no other choice than to go out and try and find another mat. I had success tonight!

Hadley is 11 months!!

Wow. This post is 4 days late. Better late than never, right?

Anyways, my little baby is becoming a toddler and we have been so busy planning for vacation that I am forgot she turned 11 months this past Sunday! I actually didn't realize it till it was about 4:00 p.m. Oops. I haven't uploaded her 11 month chair shots yet, but of course I do have a recent picture to share. 

It's not the best, but it is awful cute. She smiles any time she knows I am taking her picture. Then she goes right back to screaming most of the time. She definitely has an attitude. 

So, what's going on with Hadley?

*She is completely off bottles and is transitioning to whole milk.

*She has learned how to click her tongue

*She is slowly learning that she doesn't have to crawl at all anymore. :(

*She is still in 9-12, 12 month clothes

*She is now in her "big girl" carseat. 

*I am guessing she weighs 17.something lbs. 

*She is about to take her very first trip to the beach in 2 weeks!

I can't think of anything right now. I am pretty much just proud of myself for updating this blog. I have had a lot on my mind preparing for our 3 week vacation to the beach and then home. I have been ordering things to have delivered her before we leave and things to be delivered in TN to make things a little easier on us. I filled out all her birthday invites today so all I need to do is mail them out next week. It's crazy to believe a year has went by.
