Hadley is back!

I finally got my Hadrey back after a very long Summer of missing her!

We came back from NC and had a nice dinner with Nana and Papaw who missed her so much!

Papaw is going through his throat cancer right now and finally told Hadley now that she is back and she took it very well. We are very optimistic about his diagnosis.  He's got this!

Hadley made Spooty a crown, cause he's the king of the house. Lol

The engagement!

 July 1st 2022

Ryan's 36th birthday trip to Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

We woke up in her adorable condo in the beach and it was storming. Actually, I woke up and Ryan slept til like 11. Lol. Ryan made eggs and bacon for breakfast and we had mimosas.

After the rain stopped we walked down to Alvin's store to get sunscreen but Ryan also had to have a Frisbee, boogie board and an inflatable boat.

We finally got to the beach and it was beautiful and we were just having a great time. Ryan wanted to go out in the "boat" so we were across from each other in the boat, on the ocean, with the cooler in between us. He said "ya know what would make this better?" As he handed me his beer. I said "another beer?" And he pulled the ring out and said "if you'll marry me"

I was speechless at first. I said, "is it your birthday or mine?" LOL. My ring was too big but as soon as we got back to TN I got that baby sized.

4 months later

I don't even know where to start.
How in the world did I let 4 months go by without updating this blog. Poor, poor blog.
I'm not going to sit here and recall every single thing that has happened in the last 4 months, but we had Thanksgiving with family in Tennessee, as well as Christmas. We came back to North Carolina and bought a puppy. We also switched homes and are so much happier in our new one.

A lot of things are happening in the upcoming months that are exciting and scary. I have family coming to visit soon and a trip planned to Tennessee, but that all leads up to Adam's deployment. I have decided to stay in North Carolina instead of going home like I had originally planned. I am probably going to talk to my mom way too much and visit my friend Krys way too often, but it will be ok. We will make it!

Home in Tennessee!

We are in Tennessee! I feel like I haven't been here in such a long time, and really I haven't. The last time I was home was in May, and that was only for 3 short days. The last time I was home for a long period of time was a year ago. A YEAR AGO! I haven't seen my best friend in a year! Isn't that crazy? Time goes by entirely too fast!

Yesterday we set out around 11 to meet Mom and Freddy halfway in Shelby, NC. We had lunch and said our goodbyes to daddy. We will see him again in a month. I think this is the hardest time Hadley has had saying goodbye and it just breaks our hearts. We can't even imagine what it will be like when he deploys next year. Just painful.

We got home around 8 and Nana immediately showed her the toys she bought her for our stay of almost 2 months. This girl is spoiled, let me tell you! I was lucky to get her in bed barely before 10. Kid did not want to go to sleep because she was having so much fun!
I am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have coming up. I am so thankful to be home for the holidays and Adam will get to join us in December for Christmas and New Years. I really needed this break from Fayetteville to refresh my mind. I sure am going to miss Krys and my babies though!
See you in June North Carolina!
