Oh hello there!

Well I haven't updated in like a week. I totally forget about this blog sometimes. I'm sure there will be very few posts to come since I am going to be on vacation for a month! We are leaving for the beach Saturday and then we will be in Tennessee for 3 weeks after that. Adam has to fly back September 19th, but I decided to stay till October 2nd because Adam will be gone anyways and it will be Hadley's, mine, and my mom's birthday. My sister has decided to throw my mom a surprise 50th birthday party and I couldn't live with myself if I wasn't there for it!

Anyways, Hadley is driving me crazy lately with her constant crying/whining. I really don't know what is going on with her. She has been teething, but those 2 top teeth have came through so I don't know why she is still so cranky. I hope she snaps out of it before we head home this weekend. I am already stressing out about how she will act being completely off schedule.

I can't believe that she is completely walking now. Like, it totally blows my mind. She doesn't even want to crawl anymore. It is crazy! She has learned that she can go in her room and grab her blanket out of the crib slats and she will carry it all around the house. She also does this with her daddy's shirts if she finds them. She is into everything and has been for months now!

I feel so stupid because everyone told me that I needed completely soft soled shoes for Hadley and she can't walk in them because they have no sole whatsoever. How is she supposed to walk on completely smooth leather? So, I have wasted like 30 dollars on 2 new pairs of shoes that she can't even wear. As soon as she hits the kitchen floor she slides and falls. That is not safe. So now I am on a new mission to find a decent priced shoe that will fit her small, narrow feet!

Here is a cute new picture for your enjoyment!

Big girl tub.

We finally made the switch to the big girl tub. We bought a bath mat last week and it was a complete fail. It didn't suction to the bottom at.all. Pissed me off. I filled the tub up and it just floated to the top, so I decided I would stick with Mr.Duckie. (the duck tub)
Well, 2 days later I noticed Mr. Duckie was no longer with us anymore. He suffered an injury to the beak and wilted away. So I had no other choice than to go out and try and find another mat. I had success tonight!

Hadley is 11 months!!

Wow. This post is 4 days late. Better late than never, right?

Anyways, my little baby is becoming a toddler and we have been so busy planning for vacation that I am forgot she turned 11 months this past Sunday! I actually didn't realize it till it was about 4:00 p.m. Oops. I haven't uploaded her 11 month chair shots yet, but of course I do have a recent picture to share.

It's not the best, but it is awful cute. She smiles any time she knows I am taking her picture. Then she goes right back to screaming most of the time. She definitely has an attitude.

So, what's going on with Hadley?

*She is completely off bottles and is transitioning to whole milk.
*She has learned how to click her tongue
*She is slowly learning that she doesn't have to crawl at all anymore. :(
*She is still in 9-12, 12 month clothes
*She is now in her "big girl" carseat.
*I am guessing she weighs 17.something lbs.
*She is about to take her very first trip to the beach in 2 weeks!

I can't think of anything right now. I am pretty much just proud of myself for updating this blog. I have had a lot on my mind preparing for our 3 week vacation to the beach and then home. I have been ordering things to have delivered her before we leave and things to be delivered in TN to make things a little easier on us. I filled out all her birthday invites today so all I need to do is mail them out next week. It's crazy to believe a year has went by.

Big girl carseat!

Look at my big girl in her big girl carseat! I just can't believe it!

She doesn't like it. :(
She doesn't like that she can't turn around and see us anymore. Bless her heart. Poor thing is going to be stuck that way for awhile, so I hope she gets used to it.

Walking!!

I cannot believe my 10 month old is walking! I didn't expect it to happen this fast. I am not ready for a toddler! Slow down precious baby.

She is still crawling like 95% of the time, thank goodness. I hope it is awhile before she just up and walks constantly.

And here is a video! I apologize that it is sideways. I can't get it turned for some reason.

Shoes!

Hadley has started taking a step here and there so I thought it was time to buy her some shoes. Not to mention that we are going on vacation for about 3 weeks and I think she may be full on walking by then. We took a trip to the outlet mall yesterday to get her feet sized at Stride Rite. They said she was a 3! I was shocked because all of her sandals and shoes at home are 1's. She has a pair of size 2 Sperrys that she can't even fit in. I guess Stride Rite runs a little big?

Well we tried on a bunch of Robeez and other soft sole shoes and they all had a gap on the sides because her feet are so narrow. So, we didn't end of buying anything from there because they didn't have a big selection anyways. When we got home I ended up ordering these shoes because they are super cute and I should match just about anything.

I hope they work fine with her small, narrow feet!

We're going on vacation!

And I am freaking out a little bit.
I have known for awhile that I was definitely going home in September with Hadley no matter what, but what we didn't know was if Adam's leave would get approved and he could join us. If he got to come that also meant that we would be going to the beach for a week with his parents. Well, we are going to the beach and spending time in Tennessee with our families! Also, Hadley gets to have a birthday party after all!

The freaking out comes into play thinking of all the things I have to prepare.
1. I have to plan a birthday party.
2. I have to fly with a toddler.
3. I have to be in a car for 8 hours with a toddler.
4. I have to transition her fully to cow's milk on vacation.
5. I am trying to transition her off the bottle.
6. I have to try and figure out how to feed her on a plane.

So yeah, can you tell I am probably overthinking everything? Yeah.
I just want to be prepared. I am worried most about her sleeping. I was miserable the last 2 times I flew home because she wouldn't sleep while there and it made me stressed out the whole time. I really want to enjoy our first family vacation together. Adam and I didn't get to go on a honeymoon, as I was pregnant, so I am really looking forward to going to the beach together! Wish us luck.

Here is a picture as usual.

Wal-Mart is magical.
Every time we go shopping this kid is instantly tired. She always does really good though. She never starts to whine, she just starts to lay her head down. How precious.
This is the first time that she actually fell asleep. It didn't last long, because going over the bumps of the doors woke her right up. Bless her.
