Confession:

I really don't feel like updating this blog, but I know I need to so here it goes.

My mom is coming to visit in exactly one week!! I am totes excited about this because I haven't seen her since March and we are very close! It is also nice to have another adult around to talk to besides Adam. He has been working  A LOT lately and is about to go to the field for 21 days and isn't allowed to come home during that time. So, it will be nice to have my mom keep me company for a week while Adam is gone.

Hadley is sick, and I think she is now getting me sick. I made her an appointment yesterday morning strictly for her rash that hasn't went away and she just happened to wake up with what I thought was a cold. Turns out she has a yeast rash, congestion, and pink eye. Her poor little eye looks awful and she is tired and just plain doesn't feel good. Bless her little heart. I hate to see her not feeling well.

The pedi told us to ditch the cloth diapers, so that I am. Although I didn't love cloth diapering, I am pretty bummed about giving it up. First, we spent a lot of money on these diapers. Second, I know it will be a pain in the ass trying to sell them. If I'm lucky I will sell half of what I have. I am lucky that Adam doesn't care if I sell them or not. He said that if I do then good, I will have some spending money of my own. Ha. That alone is motivation to get those damn things sold.
Wish me luck.

I don't really have any new pictures to share with this post. I know you are all bummed. All of my 8 followers...

Hippity Hoppity!

Easter just wasn't as exciting this year as it has been in years past. This was the first year that I haven't been to church on Easter and I wasn't with my family. But, that didn't stop me from dressing Hadley up and at least taking some pictures to document her first Easter. She wasn't really having it though. She was NOT giving up the smiles.

Oh, grass? Thanks. I will eat it now.
I REALLY don't like these ears mom!
Ok, I will give you a half smile since you tried so hard.

I won!!

Can I just say that I am super excited and shocked that I won the cloth diaper giveaway from Beautiful Baby Gear!! I have been seriously struggling with cloth diapering lately. Hadley's yeast rash was very stubborn and she has been in sposies for the past week or so. I had to strip all her diapers using tea tree oil and drying them on high heat for a LONG time. I am praying that this killed the yeast because honestly, I am scared to death to put her back in those diapers for fear of the rash coming back. It isn't even completely gone yet! I don't know what else to do!

In other news, I have decided to introduce some finger foods to Hadley and I started with puffs, but she doesn't have her pincher grasp down yet so she doesn't do too well with them. The other night I made her sweet potato fries! She could actually pick them up and get some in her mouth! It is so funny to watch her eat because she almost freaks out when the food gets in her mouth. I think the texture freaks her out. The quality of this picture is horrible for some reason. They sometimes look grainy when I upload them straight from my phone to Blogger.

I set the oven to 400 degrees and planned on cutting the potato up in slices and drenching them in 1/4 olive oil, but my potato was so hard that it wouldn't cut. So I ended up just drenching the potato in olive oil and putting it on a baking sheet and I baked it for 45 minutes. After the potato cooled a bit I then cut them up in little slices for her to grab easily. I sprinkled a little bit of cinnamon on them too! Fun stuff!

The AppleTree bibs arrived today!

7 months

My sweet, beautiful baby girl turned 7 months on the 14th, and of course I am behind on posting about it.

I am amazed daily at how big our little girl is getting. She is still a little peanut, probably not even weighing 16 lbs yet but, she is healthy and that's all that matters. She melts my heart with her sweet baby talk and her infectious laugh. I love her more and more everyday.

So here a few things that's going on with miss Hadley:

*She is trying her hardest to crawl.
*She has 2 bottom teeth.
*She has been sitting up for the past 2 months.
*She loves her sippy, and maybe drinks an ounce a day.
*She is in 6-9 clothing.
*She has had all stage 1 veggies and fruits and we are slowly introducing meats.
*She weighs just under 16 lbs and is just under 27 inches long.

Here are some pictures I have taken in the last week. Sorry if the format is weird, I am blogging from my phone.

Yep, it's yeast.

I am SO frustrated. We took Hadley to the doctor Friday and of course she has a yeast infection. Poor baby, and poor mommy. It has been three days and it is still hanging around. I am trying to figure out if cloth or disposables are better for her bottom. She slept in cloth last night, stuffed with 3 inserts because I wanted her to be dry, and her butt looked awesome when she woke up this morning. Fast forward 3 hours and I get her up from a nap and her butt is back to being bright red! What is going on here? I think I am going to put her in sposies for 24 hours and see what happens.

This weekend was pretty boring. We went to Target Saturday, per usual, and then laid around the house all day. Sunday I took Hadley to the outlet mall in search of pjs from Old Navy that a bumpie suggested. These are the pjs, but of course they didn't have any 6-12...so I went ahead and bought 12-18 months.

I also stopped by Gymboree and picked up a precious mint green bathing suit with fish on it and cannot for the life of me find a picture of it online...it's not on their website. Oh well.

There really isn't anything else going on. I tried Hadley on prunes this morning for the first time and she has been spitting them up all day. We are having a bad day around here for some reason. She is fighting naps like crazy. She cries and cries, and then will only sleep for 30 minutes. That is not normal for her. I am just glad she is sleeping 12 hours at night. It makes me so happy...I need all that sleep!

What is new?

We received a package in the mail Wednesday from mamaw with clothes and we thought hey, why not ship Hadley across the country?
I am so proud to say that Hadley is loving her sippy cup. She is doing so good with it. She doesn't drink much a day, probably about an ounce, but she really loves the thing. Hopefully we will be ditching bottles early. Dr. Browns are a pain in the ass to clean.
Yesterday was daddy's 23rd birthday and Hadley made him his very first birthday card. I can't believe how big those feet are! I love those precious little feet. I love my daughter more and more everyday and couldn't imagine what life would be like without her. She is so sweet and precious. It took us a long time to get this sweet and precious baby. She was a pretty difficult baby the first 4 months of life.
I love this picture. This is what my little angel looks like everytime she wakes up from a nap. She gives me the biggest smile when she sees me coming to get her up. Her hair is a mess and her clothes are hanging off her. Ha. Oh, and you can see her little toofer. She is getting another one right beside that one. It is slowly coming through, and she isn't as cranky this time around. Not yet anyways.
We have an appointment to take Hadley to the doctor today at 3:00. I am pretty sure she has a yeast rash and her little butt looks terrible. I am highly thinking of selling all of my cloth diapers and putting her back in sposies. She has lready been in sposies for 2 1/2 days because of this rash. I don't know if cloth makes it worse or better. I am going to ask her doctor and hopefully he/she will have some insight on it. I am SO frustrated with this whole experience. If I put her in sposies at night she wakes up soaked in pee. She is just in diapers too long. But, what am I supposed to do when she sleeps 12 straight hours? I am not waking her up to change her diaper. She would go crazy.
Can you tell I'm stressed out a little bit?
Wish us luck!

Hello Summer

It is officially hot in El Paso. It was 90 degrees Saturday and we took a trip to Target to get groceries and other things and when we got home we decided to take Hadley to the pool for the first time.

She was pretty tired that day from running around, so I don't think she was as excited as she normally would have been. We love this little float though. We bought it at Target for $20.00 and it's for 6-36 months I believe. The canopy adjusts so you can lean it back or foward, whichever.

She started to get fussy so I took her out and just held her and walked around the pool and she ended up falling alseep on me . It was so precious. My 6 month old NEVER sleeps on my anymore. I just held her for an hour in the shade enjoying my precious baby and remembering what it was like to have a newborn that loved sleeping on me.

She is so precious! It's these moments right here that I most enjoy being a mother!

Too beautiful not to post. I am loving all of her cute new 6-9 clothes. I am also taking full advantage of being able to upload my pictures from my phone straight to Blogger...if you can't tell.
