Sleep woes.

The kid is giving me a run for my money here lately. She has been super cranky and not wanting to nap. When I do finally get her to sleep it only lasts for about 30 minutes. I am exhausted! I need my "me" time! I realized yesterday that she is teething, so now everything kind of makes sense. I can see the tip of her top tooth coming through, so it needs to hurry up and come all the way through. I need her to at least sleep an hour at a time to save my sanity. I have been having to let her CIO for the first time ever. I hate that it has come to this, but when I  get her asleep on my chest and lay her down she wakes up every.single.time.

She fell asleep on daddy this morning.

Too bad he had to leave for work after her being asleep for only 5 minutes. He would have let her sleep on him for an hour. That would have been nice.

I am still having sippy cup issues too. I am just at a loss. She is almost 11 months and I want her off of the bottle by 12 months and off of it by the time she transitions to whole milk. I pray we don't have any issues with that. She didn't take to the new sippy that I bought her. She still prefers the Munchkin sippy, but it seems like a lot of work to get liquid out. She has to bite/suck at the same time. Oh well.

I hate sippy cups.

I am tired of buying sippy cups.
TIRED!

Today I bought the Playtex Sipster and Hadley actually seems to like it pretty well.
She held onto it and drunk water out of it for like 20 minutes. I had high hopes that she would have no probably taking formula out of this one. I was hopeful and tried feeding her formula out of it for her next feeding and she was just not having it. Ugh.
I really want this kid off of the bottle by the time she is a year old. I know I have 2 more months until she is a year, but it would be really nice to ditch the Dr. Brown's bottles because they are a PITA. She does really well drinking water out of her Munchkin sippy, but it seems like it was too much work for her to get 6 ounces of formula out of it.
The Playtex sippy seems a bit easier flowing. So we will see how it does over the next week. Last week when I tried to quit bottles cold turkey she was only drinking maybe 3 ounces a time and it took me about 30 minutes to get her to drink that much. I am not going to move her to the sippy if she will only take 9 ounces a day. It's not worth it. She is already a skinny minnie.

And a picture of Hadley for good measure!

My kid is standing!

Hadley stood up on her own yesterday and I cried! I can't believe how big she is getting. She is growing up way too fast! Since yesterday she has been trying to stand up constantly and it's making me a nervous wreck. I worry about her falling down and hitting her head, because she does that enough anyways.

This picture is tiny and horrible, but I could NOT get the original to upload from my phone so I had to steal this one from Facebook. I am apologize for the horrible quality. Adam took it on his phone having to zoom in all the way.

Happy 10 months!

Hadley is 10 months old today! How in the world did that happen?
It is such a bittersweet time. I am happy that she is growing and thriving, but sad that she is growing up so fast. I swear she is getting meaner as the months go by. She has such a strong will and stubborn personality already. I am really in for it. I love watching the new things that she learns everyday but miss when all she did was lay there and sleep all day. Bliss.
It's like night and day.

What's new?
1. I am guessing she still weighs 16 lbs, maybe 17. Still probably 27 inches long.
2. She is an extremely skilled crawler, pulls up on EVERYTHING, and has only let go a couple of times to stand by herself.
3. She says "bye bye" and "mama" on the regular. She said "dada" once, but hasn't done it again. I work on her daily to say it. She babbles constantly.
4. She has started to wave a little and puts her fingers on her lips and goes "buh buh buh."
5. She is in 6-12 or 9-12 month clothing and still fits in size 1 shoes when she wears them, which is never.
6. She is completely on table food. If you try to give her anything by spoon she will just spit it right back at you.
7. She still fits in her infant carseat, but we will be buying her big girl carseat next month.
8. We will also be buying a booster seat and throwing that freakin' Bumbo in the trash! I will be so happy to get rid of that thing!

Of course as you all may know by now our life is pretty boring. I feel pretty pointless in having a blog because we never do anything to talk about. Our weekend was pretty boring as usual. Sunday was coupon day (my favorite day) and I made a coupon run to Walgreens and a grocery run to Wal-Mart. I then came back and took Hadley to the pool for a little bit. She loves the pool!

Over the weekend she has started to wave while saying bye bye! She waves backwards, but it's a start! It is so cute. She has also stood on her own for a couple of seconds. Oh, and I am so done with feeding her raspberries because it is SUCH a mess to clean up. She gets it all over and screams bloody murder when I try and clean her up. It's not worth it!

Here are some pictures, because we all love pictures.

Happy 4th of July!

Well, it's a boring 4th of July in our house. We don't have any exciting cookouts to go to and we aren't waking Hadley up at 10:00 to watch fireworks.(Even though they wake her up and keep her awake for an hour) I didn't even buy her a cute little red, white and blue outfit to wear today. You think this holiday would be more celebrated in a military home, huh? Oh well.

Anyways, there isn't really anything new going on in the Walker house. Hadley is still completely into everything and we have to make sure every door in the house is completely shut or she will find something to get into. If she gets in the bathroom she tries to eat the toilet paper. I really need a gate put up to the kitchen because she won't let me get anything done in there.

I don't know if I have said it before, but I primarily access the internet through my phone and have been blogging from my blogger app because it is so much easier to upload pictures. They seem to look like crap on here though. But, now my app has crashed and I can't get it to work again. So now it looks like I am stuck blogging from my laptop when I have the time. I have no pictures to add to this post, which I'm sure you are all disappointment about. I will try to get some new ones up in the next week. Hope everybody has a great holiday!
