Guess what?

Hadley and I are going home April 9th-27th!!!!!

Our flights are booked so there is no turning back! I am super excited and blessed to be seeing my family after missing them for 4 months. I still have awhile to wait though.

Did I mention that Hadley is a big girl now? I finally took the tray off her booster seat and scooted her up to the table like a big girl. She does really well with it. I am surprised that she doesn't really make a mess. When she is done eating she pushes her plate away and says done. It is so much easier cleaning the table off than washing the big tray.

This is the booster seat we have. I highly recommend it. I would never, ever waste my money on a big, traditional high chair.

Fisher Price Deluxe Booster Seat. $26.99 on Amazon.
I also have to say I really like the new forks I have bought her.
They are kind of like this.
I bought just the fork set though.
I am also looking at buying her some toddler plates and a new snack trap.
We have been using the Munchkin plates, which don't even suction, but we need something a little bigger. I would also like a plate with sections, so I'm going to look a little harder for something I really like. The snack trap I am going to order is the Oxo Tot Snack disk.
I'm hoping it's as big as it looks. I carry a lot of snacks at once and Ziploc bags just aren't that cute.
So there's that. Here is some new pictures of Hadley at the table.

Dude, I suck. It's been like 2 weeks since I have updated. I am such a slacker.

Well, Hadley was sick with a uti and then got really sick with bronchitis. Then Adam got really sick with pneumonia and he has been home with us for 2 weeks, so I haven't really been on the computer all that much. Everybody is finally feeling better and Adam goes back to work tomorrow.

My car is being fixed and hopefully we will have it back in about a week and that means that I will have a car to drive every.single.day. THIS IS HUGE! This will make my life so much easier and make both Hadley and I happier. I am thinking about joining the gym down the road. It has tanning and childcare. I am a little nervous about the childcare since nobody but my mom has ever watched Hadley, but I'm sure it will be fine for the hour or so I'm there. And, I will be in the same building as her so that makes me feel a little better.

I am strongly considering studying to become a pharmacy technician. I worked at a pharmacy before having Hadley and I really liked it. I would really like to study the book and hopefully get certified and have a job in the future. I REALLY need a job, but I am so scared to get back into that world and the studying that it takes to become a pharmacy tech. You have to know A LOT of information. Wish me luck. I am nervous yet excited about it.

More big news. I'm pretty sure Hadley and I will be going home at the end of April. That will be 4 1/2 months since I have been home and I am already super excited about it even though it is awhile away. It gives me something to look forward to. So, that's what's being going on here.

Here is the most recent picture I have taken of Hadley.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Today is Valentine's Day and Hadley is 17 months old! We are spending the day without daddy because he has to work and won't be home until tomorrow night. :( We also have a doctors appointment today. Pretty sucky day, huh?

I thought I would steal this idea from other blogs about my Valentine. Our story might not be the most romantic and we weren't brought together by most people's standards, but I love my husband very much and I'm very happy to share a life with him and our little girl.

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
A little over 2 years. We started dating December 2009.

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
We met in high school, but weren't interested in each other at the time. He has a long term girlfriend and I had a long term boyfriend. It wasn't till after high school and after my divorce that Adam and I reconnected. All because of Facebook, imagine that.

3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry?
We will be married 2 years April 30th. This picture is the day we were married. I was 5 months pregnant and we were married at the courthouse because Adam has just came back from Korea and we were about to move to Texas in a few days. We hope to have a ceremony one of these days.

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding? If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
Answered above.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
No, we really don't. We are pretty boring I guess. We call each other lame names, like poopy..Ha!

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey:
He is handsome. Kind (when we wants to be) Sweet, again, when he wants to be.

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
Our proposal isn't anything romantic. He just got down on his knee and asked me.

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?
Neither really. We don't do much for Valentines Day, and that's ok.

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
Well, seeing as we are nowhere near a beach I will say relax on the couch. That is more our style anyway.

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant other one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere
We would both like to travel more. Adam has been to far more places than I have and we would both like to explore the world. With or without the kid.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day
No plans here since the hubby isn't home. I may rent Sex and the City 2 and drink some wine.

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
We’re not big gift-givers for Valentine’s Day, so no, I don’t expect anything!

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Communication, communication, communication!

14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.

Horrible picture of us, but we were so very happy and in love.

Sick baby

Man, it's no fun having a sick kid. Especially when you are the only one taking care of said kid.

I started noticing early in the week that Hadley wasn't peeing much. It didn't completely set in that something was wrong until I realized she was completely burning up Tuesday afternoon. I took her temperature and she had a fever of 103! I seriously freaked out. This kid has never had a temperature over 100. She has only been sick once before.
I took her to urgent care, because of course we couldn't get an appointment same day on post, and it turns out she has a uti. Poor girl. No wonder she hasn't been peeing. It has been hurting her to pee. So, she is on antibiotics and I haven't really noticed a difference in her getting better yet. In fact, I feel like she may be getting worse. She definitely drunk more water/milk today, but she hasn't peed all that much and I think she is developing some congestion and a cough. Her sleep has gone to shit since Tuesday night and I am exhausted. Hell, we both are. Last night she woke up around 1 and whined on and off until I brought her in my bed at 4. I never bring her in my bed and I have had to do it the past 2 nights. I hope she sleeps better tonight. She had a slight fever before I laid her down. :(
Adam comes home tomorrow night! Yay for help on the weekends!

Over the weekend we had the chance to go shopping. I enjoy shopping for Hadley much more than I do myself. I don't know why I get such excitement out of buying her cute things, but I do.

Today was a very busy day at our house. I rarely get to say that. We decided to skip naptime to eat lunch with daddy. I HATE getting Hadley off her schedule, but Adam has been gone all week and we never eat lunch with him. I know he missed her.

After we visited daddy we went and picked her Sarah and Remy and went for a little shopping at the outlet mall and then took a trip to the park. Both kids were whiney because neither had napped today. Lots of tears. Oh well. They did have a lot of fun once we got to the park though. We went to the park on Biggs which is newer and it's really nice. There was actually a lot of things that Hadley and Remy could play with. Most parks aren't exactly toddler friendly. I will definitely be taking her back. I hope I can take her a couple times a week when I finally get the car. Here are some pictures from our day.

They really loves this. Every time the music note hit the ball it made a loud noise. Hadley thought  it was hilarious.

And y'all know she's always yelling at me.
