Happy Anniversary!

I made it back home over the weekend. Friday to be exact. Friday was a long, exhausting and emotional day. I cried after saying goodbye to my mom, and a little bit before. I never get used to it. But, anyways we are home and today is my 2 year anniversary! Can you believe we made it 2 years? We have been through a lot of ups and downs, but we are still hanging in there. It has been a really hard 2 years, but I'm glad we are still fighting for this marriage everyday. Marriage is hard, yo.

Adam spoiled me with a Pandora ring and a $100 gift card to Toms.com!!! Woot woot!
Here is my ring
It's a pink opal. Beautiful, huh?

These are the shoes I ordered form Toms.
I cannot wait to receive those shoes and I pray that they fit because they are out of stock and I had to take a chance with the size.

He did good, right?

Sick baby...again

Can someone please tell me why my child is always sick? She made it over a year without getting sick at all and now she is sick every time I turn around. Bless her heart.

She woke up this morning with a 103 degree fever and I knew I needed to have her seen since we leave Tennessee at the end of the week. It turns out she has strep. That's a new one. Every time she gets sick it's a brand new sickness. So, poor baby has been laying on me all day. She doesn't feel good at all. The doctor said she would feel better in a couple of days. I hope so. I found out she weighs 21.6 pounds. So she has gained a pound in about a month. That's good. :)

Here are some pictures I took of her today. You can tell I'm blogging from my phone by the crappy quality of pictures. Ugh.

1 week left

Hmm.. Blogger got a new look...and it's weird.

But anyway, I have exactly one week left in Tennessee. Time went by so fast this time and it's so sad. As usual. I have no clue when I will be back. As usual. But, I do hope to come back right before September or right after. I would really like to have Hadley's 2nd birthday party here in Tennessee. We shall see. There may be some big changes in our future.

I forgot to mention last week that Hadley was 19 months old. Eek! She is getting so old. I don't like it. I don't want her to be 2. Can I just freeze time?

She is seriously a mess though. She talks constantly with about 60 words you can understand and then some jabber thrown in for good measure. She is so happy being here in Tennessee and adores her nana and papaw. I cry every time I have to take her away from them. It's awful. I hope to not have to do that soon.

Tomorrow I am going to see The Lucky One! I'm really excited about it. Don't let me down Zac Efron!

A day at the zoo

Saturday Hadley and I went to the zoo with my mom, sister, and 2 nephews. We had a really good time. Hadley insisted on walking most of the time and she did really well with holding mom's hand. I'm so glad she loves to hold hands. She really enjoyed watching the sea otters. Other things didn't really hold her attention, but this kid is happy as long as she's outside walking around.

We made it!

We made it to Tennessee! This time without any problems along the way. The flights were pretty easy. Hadley didn't have any meltdowns, and she even got a nap in. Also, my luggage wasn't lost this time. That is a huge plus! All in all it was a pretty easy trip. Thank God. I wouldn't have been able to keep my sanity without Mickey Mouse though. He kept her calm on the plane and in the car.

So, Hadley is adjusting pretty well. The time change is always an annoying adjustment. She wakes up later, which is good, but she goes to bed later. Which is ok I guess. I'm just not used to doing everything later. Breakfast is later, lunch is later, and so on. She goes to sleep without a peep at night so that's awesome. She's currently napping on the couch like she does at home, so that's good too.

I have a couple of pictures that my sister took Monday.

And this one I took today. She loves to sit in my suitcase randomly throughout the day.

It's the 3 day countdown

It's 3 days until my trip to Tennessee! Yippee!

I am spending this weekend cleaning, packing and shopping for last minute things. Also, tomorrow is Adam's birthday so I don't know what we will be doing for that. Probably nothing. We may go out to eat. He isn't big on birthdays or celebrating anything for that matter. He didn't want me to get him anything, but he will probably get a good back rub.

So, I know that everybody is always asking for tips on flying with their toddler so I thought I would list some things that help me and keep me sane, for the most part.

First, I fly alone with Hadley a lot and I don't have a carrier so I always have my stroller with me, which I check at the gate. This has worked very well for us so far. Now because we are poor, only slightly kidding, I haven't bought Hadley her own seat yet since I don't have to. She has been a lap child since we started flying at 2 months old. This gets harder every time we fly and I'm really dreading it this time. It's hard on me and her. There isn't a lot of room on planes to stretch out, but this time I am hoping that she sleeps for the first leg of the flight.

For the second hour I am counting on my Kindle and tons of snacks to keep her happy. This is the first time I am flying with the Kindle so I am trying very hard to get these episodes of Mickey Mouse converted over to files that my Kindle will accept, if not I'm not sure how I will keep her entertained since you can't access YouTube in the air, unless you pay for wifi... I hope I don't get that desperate. It's really hard to pack a lunch for her that will still be good and warm when it's time for lunch so I am packing a TON of snacks. Cheerios, goldfish, raisins, cereal bars, dried fruit, random organic snacks that I'm picking up from Target later. I will also have her sippy full of water. I'm not worried about milk until after our flight is over.

I know everybody always recommends new books, toys, etc, but that doesn't really work for my kid. She would rather look through the Sky Mall magazine than play with anything I bring her. Which is good in a way because that stuff takes up a lot of room in my purse. Also, I have never brought a change of clothes which hasn't bit me in the ass yet. So yeah, basically what I'm trying to say is it's not as hard and stressful as everybody makes it out to be. You have to go into knowing your kid is probably going to scream and be bad. It will be ok.

Always sick

I am sick. I have been sick for 5 days. I feel like I have been sick for months.

When is it going to end??

I have a doctors appointment tomorrow, but I'm feeling better so I hope I wake up 100% better in the morning and I can cancel my appointment. Fingers crossed.

Hadley's allergies seem to be doing a lot better since I started her on Zyrtec. Thank goodness. She has developed a little cough herself, but it isn't troubling me yet. It's one week until we go to TN and I would really like for both of us to feel good while we're there. Wish us luck.

Other than that nothing has really been going on. Hadley's whining and tantrums have been driving me crazy, but that's really nothing new. She is a handful, to say the least. I really wish she would behave better so my nerves can have a break. I haven't felt like taking her to the park or anything so I'm sure she is bored to death. As am I.

No new pictures because my SD storage on my phone is full. Which really makes me mad. I need to get a new card.
